Porn Lovers!

The other night I watched a programme on Channel 4 called 'The sex education show vs. pornography'. The programme basically was a way of teaching teenagers the truth about the body and sex, and also informing them that porn wasn't really all it was cracked up to be!

I think that watching porn can be considered as 'being bad' simply because most people do not admit to watching it and almost all kids hide it from their parents because they don't want them to find out. It can still be considered to be a taboo, even though more and more people are embracing sex shops! In this 'day and age', as the show pointed out, sex is everywhere! Ann Summers makes millions every year, so many adults are openly buying sex toys etc. and are no longer trying to hide the fact that they enjoy sex.

The show was aimed at teenagers to help them understand that everyone is different and what you see in porn actually isn't what real-life is like! Most of the teenagers admitted to having learnt lots from the education they received, therefore possibly making them see porn in a different way.

It isn't a particularly 'bad' thing to do nowadays, however I don't personally agree that children at the age of 11 should be watching porn, that is a really young age to be learning about porn. I'm sure that some of the children the show has spoken to had never heard of porn before, so it may have made them curious.
