I completely agree with Laura that people do not need to drive at 150mph! It's so dangerous, not only to the driver or passengers in the car but also to anyone who may be walking along the road. I agree with the fact that males are more likely to drive fast, and I also agree that it could be to show off their masculinity and what a great car they drive. However, why do they feel the need to impress? It isn't clever driving at such speeds, it's completely the opposite.
I think it is terrible that the majority of cases of dangerous driving involve the age range of 16 - 24! Young drivers, in my opinion, are more likely to have an accident because they are new to driving, therefore they are either without experience or being careless or even showing off to their friends that they have passed their test and no longer have to follow the speed limits.
As Laura said, not many people follow a 30mph limit, however going 35mph instead of 30mph isn't that bad, but 150mph is just not acceptable! I think that in cases like that, the person needs to get a longer sentence in jail because otherwise they'll never learn, if they get away with it!
