I agree with Laura that drink driving is not acceptable, which everyone knows, so why do people still do it? It is against the law and every one knows that! I think the worst thing about drink driving is that people choose to do it. When they get into the car, after having a few or even one drink, they are fully aware that they are putting themselves, passengers, other drivers and pedestrians at risk, all because they are either too lazy to walk home or to get public transport! I think the money you pay for a taxi home is worth it, if it means that you are going to get home safely.
According to a website, '560(p) people were killed in drink-drive related incidents in 2005.' That figure can only leave us wondering if all of those people who died were the ones who were doing something wrong?!
I wouldn't say that drink driving has any attraction to thrill involved, I think that people are just too lazy or selfish when they decide to drink drive. However, a pattern could occur, if they've got away with it once, they'll probably keep on doing it.
